Complex Charcot Reconstruction
This patient presented with limb threatening osteoymelitis of the midfoot with a Dislocated Charcot Deformity. The patient underwent a multi-staged procedure to resolve the bone infection, improve positioning, and stabilize the deformity for long term stability. Spatial Fixation was employed to accomplish this procedure. Dr. Saraydarian and the other members of Foot & Ankle Associates of Maine are devoted to limb preservation and end stage salvage. This patient was offered below knee amputation by a multitude of surgeons and is now in a limb stable situation.
